My Fitness Journey

Before I started my fitness journey I was out of shape and my mindset sucked. I was lost in life, chubby, had unhealthy eating patterns and several bad habits. After years of introspection and several life changing experiences I’ve been able to find direction, stay in shape, eat right, and reduce my bad habits to the point where I barely recognize my old self. After embodying a new lifestyle I’ve built the confidence to guide others in their fitness journey and bring more joy into their lives. Through sharing topics related to fitness, nutrition, psychology, and comedy I’ve realized I love adding value to people’s lives with a holistic and well rounded approach.

When a friend of mine introduced me to boxing workouts 8+ years ago I followed his advice and started to see the changes in my body that I was looking for for the first time ever. This lead me to weight training and yoga which created lasting changes. I became fascinated by how the body works and adapts. That fascination eventually spilled over to psychology and how the mind and body interconnect.

After 4+ years being a trainer I have coached 100’s of people in the gym, their home, and online. I have resonated mostly with men and women in the 40-60 age range that are looking to lose weight, tone up, feel better, and increase their flexibility with my one on one training services. I also teach a fun and unique small group class to a similar demographic also including students in their 20’s, 30’s and above. Each workout program is tailored to the clients unique fitness goals so no two clients programs are the same.

Having lived in the Westchester NY area for many years I am familiar with the territory and travel to my clients homes. My fitness philosophy revolves around finding a sustainable fitness program that can fit into your daily life for the long run. It doesn’t take spending five or more days a week in the gym to get results. When you execute proper strength training and flexibility exercises even just two to three times a week massive changes occur. It takes thirty days or more to develop a new habit but once the momentum is there it is just something you do without thinking about like brushing your teeth.

I believe health and fitness are essential if you are looking to live a fulfilling and low stress life. What separates me from other trainers is my additional knowledge of personal development and psychology. Although I do not have an official certification in those fields through 6+ years of self study I believe I can add equal or more value to a person’s life to those who are open to it versus someone who went to school for psychology.

Many of my clients have told me they have learned more interesting topics about life with me than anywhere else. To learn more about my life journey check out a free copy of my book From Hedonism To Spirituality. I talk about my ups and downs throughout the years and I go in depth about my transition from living a toxic lifestyle toward a holistic one.
